We repair all types of quality car. For added peace of mind, we are also an approved repairer for Ford, Honda, Fiat, Peugeot and Citroen.
What are the typical prices for your bodyshop services?
The prices start from £60 + vat for a car park dent – please contact us on 02380 665696 for a free estimate and we will be delighted to provide a specific quotation for your car.
Are there courtesy cars available?
Yes – we will provide our bodyshop customers with a courtesy car if you need to leave your car with us to be repaired. We have a range of over 50 courtesy cars for customer use.
Do you provide a service for fleet cars?
Yes – we would be delighted to provide a bodyshop repair service (or annual servicing) for your vehicles to maintain the value of your fleet. Please contact us for our special ‘fleet rates’. G C South can also provide companies with a one stop de-fleeting service, repairing any paint and trim rectifications and honouring any pre hand-back service responsibilities.
Do I have to use the bodyshop repairer my insurance company has selected?
No – you can ask your insurance company to use a repairer of your choice. We are already approved by major insurance companies, so feel free to request FW Jesty and we can liaise with the insurance company to take care of your claim and repair your vehicle to the highest standard.
Can I still have my car serviced during the day if I want?
Definitely, we offer the overnight servicing as an addition to our normal daytime appointments.
How much does your servicing cost?
Annual services start from £100 plus the cost of the oil and filter. Call 02380 665696 to get a specific quote for your car. We will happily tell you in advance the price of any work and this will only change if additional work is identified.
What happens if additional work is found, will you do it and charge me like some other garages?
Before we start working on your vehicle we will agree with you what you would like. We can (a) complete the service checks and oil & filter change, providing a comprehensive report at the end showing any additional items that need replacing or repairing (b) call you with any additional costs to get your approval before completing the work, (c) get your agreement at the outset to continue up to a certain value or (d) complete the work and repair/replace anything identified as necessary, confirming the price at the end of the work. Due to the timing, overnight service bookings will only be available with option (a), (c) or (d).
How can I be sure that you have done the work that you charge me for?
We always aim to be 100% transparent. When you collect your vehicle we will happily show you any parts that we have replaced, or explain any adjustments that we have made. Our business is built on quality and trust and we value it very highly.
What happens if you need to order any unexpected parts to complete the service during an overnight booking, surely all of the suppliers are shut?
FW Jesty Ltd carry a good supply of parts in stock. However, if we can’t get a part overnight we will ensure that your vehicle is drivable, allow you to collect it as planned and book you back in for the work to be completed at your earliest convenience.
I’ve always had my vehicle serviced at a main dealer because they have all the specialist equipment, how can A%J Lawrence claim to service any make?
You’re right, modern cars do rely on an enormous amount of electronics and computers. G C South has invested heavily in advanced diagnostic and electronic management hardware that enables us to do almost everything that your main agent will ever do. Because this equipment covers multiple makes of vehicle we are able to spread the cost and offer the service at a fraction of the cost your main agent would charge.
Do G C South offer MOTs?
G C South is not an MOT Test Centre, but we can prepare your vehicle for an MOT test and then have the test completed on your behalf at a partner site. This service is only available for daytime bookings.
What other mechanical services do you offer?
We can also offer 4 wheel alignment, air-con recharging, towbar fitting, reversing sensor fitting and valeting by appointment.
Will I get a courtesy car when my car is having mechanical work done on it?
We do run a small number of courtesy cars for our service customers, these are available on a booking basis and do carry a small surcharge.
